Engine oil coolers are not brand- or model-specific; you can install an oil cooler as large as the space you have available to mount one, which is generally in front of the radiator and/or air-conditioning condenser on vehicles so equipped. With coolers, larger is better. This particular kit is intended for vehicles with an engine block oil filter landing between 2-3/4 inches and 3-1/2 inches. If your vehicle oil filter landing falls outside this range you will need to select an alternate sandwich adapter. If you can provide the specific year/make/model of your vehicle we can check for correct fit.

I have included a video showing installation of a similar product on a late-model truck, just to provide an example of the process. I have also sent the install instructions in PDF format in a separate email.

This kit includes a spin-on sandwich adapter which will be fitted with one of the six supplied sleeve nuts to match the thread size of your existing oil filter mount. This adapter mounts in the location that previously held the oil filter, and the filter will mount to the adapter. The sandwich adapter requires about 2 inches of additional space. If you are concerned that this will be too tight a fit when changing filters you might wish to relocate your oil filter for better clearance using kit # D15551 instead, which is the same except for the remote filter mount. If you choose this kit select routing of the new oil lines to avoid bending or kinking them which could impair oil flow. If you use the remote filter mount you will need to use a different filter, such as Fram PH8A.

The cooler itself mounts using the supplied foam pads and mounting rods/clips to the front of the radiator or condenser. Once it is secured the rubber oil lines and a new filter are the last parts required to complete installation.
