Will B&W Companion Fit 2020 Ford F-450 With TruXedo TonneauMate Toolbox & Deuce Tonneau Cover

My husband and I are in process of equipping our 2020 Ford F450 with goal of towing 5th with 15,000 lb GVWR. We like the BandW companion hitch. We are wanting a tonneau cover and toolbox. We really like the Truxedo Deuce 2 and tonneau mate tool box. I’m seeing conflicting information as to whether the Truxedo components are compatible with our F450. Would really like to hear your thoughts on this matter. And please let us know your recommendations. Thank you.

Okay, we can get your 2020 Ford F-450 Super Duty all set up with a hitch, toolbox, and tonneau cover so you can tow your 5th wheel, and I have some good news for you. I did reach out to TruXedo directly, and they confirmed for me that yes, their tonneaus and the toolbox are compatible with your 2020 Ford F-450.
In regards to fit, the correct parts for the Deuce 2 and TonneauMate toolbox for your truck are the following:
- TruXedo Deuce 2 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX779601
- TruXedo TonneauMate Truck Bed Toolbox # TX1117416
Then to add the Companion 5th wheel hitch you will need the installation kit and hitch, which for your 2020 Ford F-450 are these parts:
- Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1116-5W
- B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W
Now, in regards to all of this working together, I did some research for you and you will have enough room to mount the tonneau, hitch, and toolbox. The inside of the 8 foot bed on a 2020 F-450 measures 98 inches, which is enough for the toolbox and Companion. The reason for that is, the center of the Companion will mount 45-1/2 inches from your F-450's tailgate, and it will extend towards the cab another 14-1/2 inches.
That is a total of 60 inches, leaving you 38 inches of space from there to the cab of your F-450. The TonneauMate toolbox will extend approximately 24-1/4 inches from the cab, so you will have room to spare between the toolbox and Companion. If you have the OEM 5th wheel prep package, the Companion will take up even less space so you can use either of the following:
- B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3305 or 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3300
