Recommended Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Extension For 2020 Ford F-350
Question:
I am looking for a hitch for my 2020 F350 that will be long enough to leave the tailgate down golf cart in bed and be able to pull my travel trailer. Tongue weight is 1000# camper is 8500#. I have a weight distribution hitch. Do you have anything that will help? New hitch all together? Thanks

I do have an option for you, but you are correct that you will need to replace your trailer hitch receiver.
For the new trailer hitch receiver you will need the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1008-30 which has a 20000lb max trailer rating and 2500lb max tongue weight rating, but those numbers get bumped to 30000lbs max trailer rating and 3000lb max tongue weight rating when using weight distribution.
Now the reason you need the new hitch is to be able to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers - 42" Long # TLE1542 or the 21" long version # TLE1521 based on exactly how much of an extension you need to clear your tailgate.
The # TLE1542 has a max trailer weight of 6000lbs and a max tongue weight of 600lbs but since you are using a weight distribution hitch those rating get bumped up to 12000lb max trailer weight and 1200lb max tongue weight.
In comparison the # TLE1521 has a max trailer weight of 7500lbs and a max tongue weight rating of 750lbs, or 14000lb max trailer weight and 1400lb max tongue weight with a weight distribution system.
You will want to confirm the max tongue weight and trailer weight ratings of your F-350, and use the lower rating between the vehicle and the extension.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
