Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2016 Ram 2500 Short Bed with OEM Rail Kit
Question:
I have a 2016 Ram 2500 Megacab. Is the sliding hitch for a fifth wheel needed so fifth wheel doesnt hit cab. What is the best slider you guys sell for the puck system.

Unless the trailer you plan to tow has a tapered nose designed for short bed truck clearance you'd need a slider hitch installed in the bed of your 2016 Ram 2500 that has the OEM rail kit and the best option is the Demco Hijacker autoslide part # DM8550035 which will slide back and give you the clearance needed to make tight turns. To fit it to your OEM rail kit you'd just need the rail kit adapter # DM6099 and you'd be set.
If you don't need a slider you could use the Curt A25 part # C16046 for a high quality hitch that is very quiet, well-made, and fits directly to the OEM rail kit you have.
