A Curt A20 5th wheel hitch would be an outstanding choice.

I really like the interlocking jaw that the hitch uses that provides full 360º contact with the 5th wheel's king pin which makes for a smoother, more comfortable ride with less clattering and banging.

For a short bed truck like your 2020 Ram 2500, you'll want to use the sliding version of the Curt A20, so you'll have proper clearance between the front of the 5th wheel and the back of the truck cab during turns unless your 5th wheel has the dished on or concave front corners, in which case you'd use the stationary model, part # C16530-16021 for trucks with the tow/prep pucks or # C16140 for trucks without the pucks.

If your truck has the Tow/Prep pucks in the truck bed, you'd want to use # C16541 A20 hitch along with the # C16022 adapter rails. If your truck doesn't have the Tow/Prep package, you'd use the # C16536 A20 along with the # C16427-204 rail/bracket kit.

If you wish to install a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed so you don't have to run the trailer connector cable up over the tailgate you could do so using part # 20110.
