Recommended Low Profile Kayak Carriers For 2021 BMW X5

Question:

i have a 2021 BMW X5 that I want to carry 2 kayaks on. for me to ba able to leave them on the vehicle and enter/exit my garage they need to be in the saddle position. what would you recommend i use to accomplish this? it is an oem rack and i have 6 inches of room to play with for racking , plus 4 inches of safety room.

Depending on the length of the factory crossbars on your 2021 BMW X5 the best option to carry two kayaks is going to be the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Rear Loading - Clamp On # MPG107MD. This option will only raise your kayaks roughly 2" above your crossbars, and will fit most factory crossbars.

Your factory crossbars will need to be at least 29" wide to fit both kayak carriers on the roof.

You will also need to check you X5s owner's manual to verify the weight rating of your OEM roof rack, and make sure to stay below that rating.
