Recommended Brake Controller for Truck with Air Brake and 5th Wheel with Electric Brakes
Question:
Im looking for a brake controler that can work for my air brake truck to my 5th wheel camper electric brakes

The good news is that electric brake controllers rely on a signal from the brake light switch in the truck, so you can use a standard brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, which would be my recommendation. The P3 provides you with proportional braking for your 5th wheel trailer and has an easy to read LCD screen so you'll always know what your settings are. This controller will need to be hard wired in to your truck, but it can be used regardless of your air brakes.
If you wanted to, you could use an air over electric brake control like the Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # HA100400C. This unit connects to the air brakes on the truck and when the brakes are applied it sends an electric signal back to the trailer brakes.
I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out.
