Is Fascia Trimming Required to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2013 Jeep Patriot

Is it possible to install this hitch receiver without cutting the rear bumper? The rear bumper does seem to have flexability.

Rear fascia trimming is required according to the instructions, see link, for trailer hitch # 75712 for the 2013 Jeep Patriot. Not trimming the required area and flexing the fascia could result in deforming the fascia. I have not heard of anyone trying this so I cannot say if it would work or not. All of the hitches available for your vehicle do require fascia trimming for installation.

If you decide to go ahead with the hitch and need to complete your towing set up you can use the following parts:

Trailer wiring # 118552
