Suspension for Small Off-Road Camper

Question:

Im currently building an offroad square camper. Its only going to weigh 1800 pounds loaded. Im wanting to run a 3500 pound axle as I will be running 35 inch tires. Can I run 2000 or 2500 pound springs as i dont need the 3500 pound springs. I want a softer ride on camper. Thankyou for the info. Ron.

You would be find with either the 2,000 or 2,500 lbs springs. I would go with the 2,500 lb springs # SP-219275 so that you are safe in the future if you decide you want to add accessories or supplies on the inside.

You could also go with the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1THDS02. These are very popular among people who are building smaller off-road campers. People like the ground clearance that they get with it and that their trailer now has independent suspension.
