Question:

Is there a wiring adapter for a Curt 51140 brake controller to 2017 Chevy Colorado? Thanks.

The 2017 Chevy Colorado doesn't use a plug-in connector, but it does have a tow package wiring harness under the dash that the controller would wire directly into. The harness is located behind the driver's side kick panel. The controller would install as shown in the linked video. The pigtail included with the Curt # C51140 TriFlex brake controller would wire up to the tow package harness as follows:

• Tow Package Red/Green wire connects to Black wire from brake controller pigtail
• Tow Package black wire connects to white wire on pigtail
• Tow Package Light Blue/White striped wire attaches to red pigtail wire
• Tow Package Dark Blue wire attaches to blue pigtail wire

If your Colorado doesn't have the factory 7-way at the rear bumper, you can install one using part # HM11141144, I've also linked an install video for this as well.
