I have a replacement axle option that you mentioned you were looking to avoid, but the Dico 17214 hub you have uses inner bearing # LM67048 and outer bearing # LM11949. Unfortunately we do not have any hubs that use this same bearing combination as the Titan 1721400042 which replaced your hub has also been discontinued.

The best option is to go ahead and replace your axle with one that uses a more standard bearing combination to make finding replacement parts now and in the future an easier task.

I recommend going with the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Straight Spindle Only - 3,500 lbs # ASR3500S05 which will bolt to your trailer frame and replace your current leaf spring suspenion with built in AEON main springs that do a great job of absorbing road shock offering a smoother ride.

The # ASR3500S05 uses inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649 which is very common and can use the idler hub # 84545UC1-EZ.

If you would prefer a standard axle as a replacement, just let me know the hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center measurements of your current axle and I would be happy to go over which options will work as a replacement. I included a diagram of these measurements for you.

I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
