Easiest Bike Rack For Installing In The Hitch And Loading Up Heavy Bikes

Question:

Hello I just purchased an bike. I am considered elderly how did that happen? I am interested in a lighter bike rack Saris Freedom, Kuat Sherpa but I worry that lifting the bike onto the rack will be difficult. I was drawn to the Thule Easy Fold because of the ramp feature, however that rack no longer seems to be available? Please advise. Is there another ramp system I could use with the Saris? Also is the 40 lb per bike limit a definite limit. My E bike is likely around that but a friends might be 55lb. Would I purchase the hitch etc from you as wellPrius V 2017 Thank you SO much

You need to get a 2 inch hitch receiver # 306-X7192 for your 2017 Toyota Prius V if you want to have enough capacity to carry your bikes if you don't go with the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202. I've used this rack and the ramp really does help out a lot when loading your bikes up.

Honestly, the best bike rack for making installing the rack easiest is the Thule EasyFold because of it's size and wheels. This way you don't have to carry the bike rack to or from your hitch. It's lighter and it comes with the ramp, you don't have to buy separately. Your Prius doesn't sit too far off the ground but if you wanted a longer ramp # TH933402 we do have one for you! The longer the ramp the easier it'll be to load! Check out my videos to see how they work, the videos will help guide your decision.
