Question:
I have a 2016 Silverado 2500 Z71 4x4 diesel. I know i can flat tow it my question is on the battery disconnect. I have dual batteries in my truck. Do i do negative battery disconnects on both batteries or just one ? If one which one ? Thanks in advance. I just purchased 1500.00 tow bar, mount kit and light kit.

The answer to your question is dependent on how the batteries are wired. The objective is to break ground causing an open circuit condition for each battery, if your batteries are wired in parallel, then you will only need the one Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect, # RM-766. If in series or they are two separate circuits via an isolation switch, then you need to ensure negative side of each battery has been isolated, either with the # RM-766 or with an isolator switch already installed to change between the two battery arrangements already.
