You mentioned the hitch being from Curt, but I believe you were referencing the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65049.

Thank you for purchasing this hitch from us, and in regards to the amount of trimming you'll have to do on your 2009 Ford F-250 4x4, there isn't a set amount as the air dam can be slightly different sizes. So you'll want to take take some measurements before doing the install to see the amount you'll need to trim; I wouldn't want to give you an approximation and have that be too much, which is why I recommend going ahead and measuring.
