Question:
I need to replace an axle on a home made trailer, approx 2500lb GVW, Looking at 3500lb Timbren ASR3500S05 with AKIHUB-550-35-K and looking for your recommendation.

The 3500 lb Timbren Axle-Less suspension kit # ASR3500S05 would be a good choice. The spindles provided with the # ASR3500S05 would indeed be compatible with the bearing set provided with the # AKIHUB-550-35-K idler hub, but since the Timbren Axle-Less suspension you've chosen features E-Z lube spindles, you'd want to go with # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K which provides the E-Z lube compatible dust caps with removable plugs so you can easily access the grease zerk without needing to remove the entire dust cap. The # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K is compatible with a 5 on 5 wheel bolt pattern, and the hub includes the bearings, races, the grease seal, the lug nuts and even the grease.
I've linked to a demonstration video for the Timbren Axle-Less suspension as well as to an install video for the hubs.
