If your tank sits at least 4" from the pucks nearest to the cab on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, then you should be good with out a slider. Since you have a cover, I assume the tank sits low enough the cover can be rolled over it, which means it would be below the bed rails. The bottom edge on the nose of the Camper, when connected, should sit at least 5" above the bed rails. The tank would not make contact with the camper if you were to make a 90 degree turn. I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Item # BWRVK3700. This is a stationary hitch that locks into your factory pucks. It has a duel jaw design, 3 height adjustments from 16-3/4" - 18-3/4", 5000lb tongue weight capacity with a 20,000lb towing capacity.
