Question:
I have a homemade trailer with what appears to be a unique hub that I need to replace. The spindle is approximately 5inch total in length, the section where the bearings would go on the spindle is about 3 3/4inch to 3 7/8inch long. The thickest part of the spindle where the inside bearings go measures 1.25inch and the thinnest part where the outside bearings go measures 13/16inch .8125. I would prefer to find a 5 on 5 bolt pattern hub with bearings to fit the existing spindle, but if there were a bolt on spindle with complete wheel hub assembly for a 5 on 5 bolt pattern wheel that would work well too. I have attached pictures to help you see what I am dealing with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a couple options for your consideration as we do not have a replacement hub or bolt on spindle that will fit your combination.
First you can remove your spindle brackets and have new #84 Spindles # TRU24FR welded in place of the current spindles. This would move you to the most common spindle size and allow you to use the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-550-35-K. This will come preloaded with the new bearings, races and grease seal installed and greased.
The second option would be to replace your Axle # T3584F-EZ-8974. This round axle has a hub face to hub face measurement of 89"(A) and a spring center to spring center of 74"(B). If your trailer has different measurements let me know and I will help you find the correct axle. This will use the same Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-550-35-K. You would also need the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles # APUBR-1 to attach the new axle to your leaf springs.
