Question:
Hello there, I used to have truck Dodge Dakota to carry my materials around, like sheet rock, plywood, plastic panels, etc. Since that car died my 2012 honda accord is going to carry those over. So i plan to carry those large components on my honda. i probably pre-cut some, like sheetrock and plywood to be 48 inch x48 and carry a couple of sheets at time. Some components like plastic panels, cant be cut and they are 96x48. My question is there any racking solution to my problem? if so can you tell me which racking components should i buy? the car is, again 2012 Honda Accord Sedan. thank you for prompt response.

I recommend going with the largest crossbar available so that you have as much room as possible for your cargo. A nice large setup that fits your 2012 Honda Accord Sedan is the Yakima Jet Stream Cross Bars 60" Long # Y00426 with the necessary Towers # Y00146, Fit Kit # Y06148, and Fit Kit # Y06150. This kit also has the highest weight capacity available which is 165lbs. Keep in mind you never want to exceed the weight capacity of your roof; I checked the owner's manual and was not able to find a weight capacity so you will want to contact a Honda dealer to find out.
I also recommend adding Yakima Load Stops # Y01161 to keep your cargo tight on the roof rack. I attached a couple demonstration videos that you can check out for more information.
