Snow Chains Recommend for 2021 Ford F-350 With LT275/65R20 Tires

Question:

According to Fords owner manual for their 2021 F-350 Superduty equipped with LT275/65R20 tires, snow chains are not recommended. My local dealer in VA received really no help from Corporate Ford on why this is as many mountain passes in the Rockies require snow chains, by law, in order to go over the pass. Question. What is the appropriate snow chain or cable to use with LT275/65R20 tires on a 2021 Ford F-350 Superduty? Also, this is a 4x4 truck, and would it be also a good idea to chain up the front tires too? Much appreciated.

Many of the manufactures say that tire chains are not recommended, but as you said sometimes they are required or needed. That being said, we have a couple tire chains that will work with the LT275/65R20 on your 2021 Ford F-350. If you're wanting a ladder pattern chains that are a pretty aggressive get these all square snow tire chains # PWE3231SC. These can only be used on the road and not off-road. A simpler less aggressive chain option you have is the Titan alloy chains # TC2536. These won't require you to drive onto them to get them installed and you won't have to get on the ground to make the connection in the back. This is nice for when you're stuck and don't want to get snow all over you. If you plan on installing the chains before you head down the road, the Square ladder pattern chains would be good for you.

I suggest getting chains that you can use all year round. These Titan Chains # TC3231 can be used on and off road. They are twist links so they will be less aggressive than the square tire chains but will be a smother ride. The biggest thing for me when it comes to chains is being able to use them all year round so you get the most out of the chains. If I were you, these are the chains I would get. All of these chains can be put on the front or the back. Just grab two sets and be sure to watch my video using these so you can see how they install!
