Question:
I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite with Blue Ox base plate BX1140 already installed. Can I use a Curt rambler tow bar with this? I am unsure about the meaning of non-binding, but I do want one that stays on the motorhome and folds up. Also, I am needing an axially brake system, but I would like to know if this vehicle needs a battery charger? Thanks.

To connect a Curt Tow Bar # C26FR to your Blue Ox Base Plates # BX1143 all you need is an adapter # BX8833. The non-binding feature makes it easier to unhook to tow bar when you're on an uneven surface. Not being level can cause the bars to bind up and not want to come off of the base plates so this feature will definitely make removing the tow bar easier.
If you want a one time set up braking system that will stay in the towed vehicle then I recommend # HM39530.
If you want a braking system that you can remove from your towed vehicle but will have to set up every time you want to flat tow I recommend # HM39524.
Both braking systems come with a battery charger. I looked at a generic owner's manual for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and do not see any instructions on removing the negative cable from the battery like you normally would for most other vehicles. I recommend reading your specific owner's manual to ensure you follow all flat towing prep instructions.
