Gooseneck Trailer Hitch For 1993 Chevrolet Crew Cab Long Bed Pickup

This says it will not fit Crew Cab. Yet I see an answer that says it will according to Adam R. What goose neck hitch do I use for the 96 3500 4 door dually? asked by: Chad Expert Reply: For a long-bed Chevy 3500 we offer several options in gooseneck hitches that can be seen on the link provided. Their fits will vary slightly depending on the frame width of your truck certain hitches will not fit 34-inch wide frames and this is noted. The particular Draw-Tite Gooseneck # 9465-40 that you referenced will fit without this limitation and offers 30K gross trailer weight capacity. For your reference I have linked both the written instructions and a video. If you expect to need to tow a 5th wheel, then the BandW # BWGNRK1000 may be a better options as it allows use of their -in Companion 5th wheel hitch # BWRVK3500 which offers 20K capacity. expert reply by: Adam R What is different on the Crew Cab that does not allow this to fit? I have a 1993 Chevrolet Crew Cab with 8ft bed. Thank you,

Expert Reply:

The mounting brackets on the Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit # 9465-40 are what will not work on the Crew Cab. The brackets mount around the frame to the rear of the axle which is different on the Crew Cab models of you 1993 Chevrolet C/K Pickup.

The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit # BWGNRK1000 uses a different type of mounting brackets that will work on both frames. This will bolt to the frame rather than around the frame.
