Question:
I have a 2002 Lance 915 slide in camper. I bought a 2021 GMC 2500, actually had the truck built. I had the fifth wheel package placed which comes with a 7 way plug at the rear of the truck bed. My plan was to run an extension from the plug to the front of the bed where the camper plugs in. The problem is that when plugged into the receptacle the extension will not clear a structure on the camper. Could I install the Bargman 90 degree wiring harness item # 50-97-410 up towards the front of the bed and plug into the trucks wiring harness in lieu of the factory installed receptacle while using the camper and switch back and forth if I were to purchase a fifth wheel. I realize I will have to replace the proprietary lance plug at the camper.

Yes you could use the part # 50-97-410 in the way you mentioned. This is a very common way to use these types of harnesses so this would be a great choice.
