Solution to Use Curt Slider Hitch on 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 Short Bed Without OEM Prep Package
Question:
I have a Curt 16023 adapter. I need an under body frame to go with my adaptor. Towed my 5th wheel with My sons 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 6.5 box before. Thanks

I may have a solution for you, but there is not a solution for you to add an aftermarket OEM style prep package for your 2019 Sierra 2500 that would be compatible with the Curt # C16023, which is only compatible with the factory prep package. For these reasons you will need to install a different 5th wheel installation rail kit to use your existing Curt sliding hitch.
The rails you'll want to use, which are a custom fit for the 2019 Sierra 2500, are the Curt # C16411-204. This will give you industry standard base rails compatible with your existing Curt hitch. If you were hoping to get a system that would give you a completely clear truck bed, you will need to get a completely new hitch. I recommend using the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550022, which you can use with rails # DM8551010 to give you a clear truck bed when you're not towing a 5th wheel. This rail kit is only compatible with a Demco Hijacker, so it's not compatible with your old hitch or the Curt adapter you've already got.
I've linked some review and installation videos of these for you to check out.
