Question:
I have a 2020 check Silverado short bed crew cab with a leer canopy. I also have Yakima rack that used to be on a Prius with kayak cradles and towers, round bars, for 2 kayaks. Can I adapt it to fit my canopy with a trac? Kayaks are 10 and 13 foot ocean kayaks. I would need a pad I assume for them to rest on the cab. Is there anything available I could install myself without any drilling on cab? Thanks

I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, the Yakima towers and crossbars from the Prius will not be compatible on your 2020 Chevy Silverado. However, the kayak cradles may be compatible with some alternative roof rack crossbars (depending on the make and model of cradles).
If you want an option to transport kayaks without drilling into your canopy, I recommend the following parts:
- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 60" Long - Qty 2 # TH711500
- Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4 # TH710501
- Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet - 5071 # TH145071
- (Optional for extra security) Thule One-Key System lock cores # TH450200
This roof rack system will install onto the truck's cab without having to drill into the canopy to transport kayaks. If you want to provide me with the make and model of kayak carrier to see if they are compatible with the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars, I would be happy to assist you.
