Where Should I Place the Attachment Arms On My E-Bike with Fenders on a Kuat NV 2.0?
Question:
I have an Ebike that has a front fender. Can the arm be placed on the tire in front of the fender or should it be placed on the fender?

I have a great alternative to securing your bike rack. At eTrailer, we discourage mounting any bike with fenders or rear cargo platforms by the wheels to prevent any cracking or damage during transport. Even if the attachment arms of the rack do not touch the wheels when the vehicle is static, bumps or extra torque on the vehicle in movement can shift the fasteners.
However, a frame-mounting bike rack like the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 is the safest bet. The ratcheting hooks on the Chinook will completely bypass the need to attach the bike to the wheels. Another good thing about the EasyFold XT is that it eliminates the need for a bike frame adapter bar for your particular e-bike. The independently detachable arms can be repositioned anywhere along upright frame to hold bikes by the downtubes or top tubes.
The EasyFold XT is a great alternative to the Kuat NV 2.0 # BA22B to avoid that securing issue. If you need a trailer hitch recommendation, I would be happy to provide you one with your year/make/model vehicle.
