Suggested Timbren Axle-Less Suspension to Replace a Torsion Axle on a Boat Trailer

I have a 99 Nitro NX882 18’2” boat. The torsion axle that is on the trailer seems to be real bouncy and rough. What style of axle-less suspension would be recommended for my application? I do not have trailer brakes.

From what I could find out about the 1999 Nitro NX882 boats, they look to weight just under 1,500 pound unloaded and without fuel. Though this will depend on how much the trailer also weighs, it looks like the Timbren Axle-Less System # ASR3500S05 will be a very good option. This is rated up to 3,500 pounds and has no issues being installed on most trailers.

This does not include hubs, however, so you may need to replace those if the bearings do not match your current hubs. This will utilize the inner bearing # L68149 and the outer bearing # L44649. If you have these bearings, you are good to go. If they do not match, you can use the # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K for a replacement hub. This has a galvanized finish to help prevent corrosion as well.
