Question:
I just recently bought a few things to fix a old truck camper I bought from you. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD crew cab 6.5 bed. The tie downs that I was given Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs - Bed Mount - Black Powder Coated Steel . My camper is a 1996 Lance squire Lite 165 S.... Wt. of camper is 1850 lbs. I see by your application you have no info on installing them on my year make of truck but do see 1 review on the Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs - Bed Mount - Zinc Plated Steel - Qty 4Item # HSBP which to me look the same. I want to of course be save and would like your opinion of my pics I have sent and the info I have supplied. My bed rail is not completely open. Front and back end of my bed is closed. I used them and have a 10 degree angle on the turn buckles that I need to upgrade a bit. I just bought a front hitch for this truck from you and aluminum 4 steps plus a few more things and need some turn buckles too.

I spoke with my contact at Brophy and they stated you'll be fine using the Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs - Bed Mount - Black Powder Coated Steel - Qty 4 Item # HSWB as long as the railing on the back of your 2008 Chevy Silverado isn't over 5 1/2" wide on the top side and there needs to be a space of at least 2" wide on the underside of the railing.
I've attached an installation video to help you as well.
For turnbuckles I recommend the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs - 3,000lbs - Qty 4
Item # TDHP
