Are the Bulldog Quick Connects IP Rated Waterproof
Question:
Your installation videos of a DC to DC charger from a trailer to the vehicle battery show the use of this quick connect in parallel to the 7-pin trailer harness. The trailer harness is ip67 waterproof. Is this connector also waterproof and suitable for connection below the vehicle bumper? I cant find any mention of waterproof or IP rating, so recommending it being installed outside of the vehicle under the bumper is confusing to me.

The Bulldog Quick Connect Kit # BDW20047 was not IP rated and in most case their exposure to the elements is expected, so that type of water resistance isn't required. To help shield these connectors from the elements that are encountered on the road these connectors come with dust covers that keep them free of dust/debris and water during travel.
