I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, since the Thule OutWay # TH56BV has a per-bike weight capacity of 33 pounds, it will not be able to hold your 60 pound electric bike. For a single electric bike, there is no trunk-mounted solution available. With that being said, I recommend a hitch bike rack. The Thule T1 1-Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # TH9041 is a great alternative to the OutWay because it has a per-bike weight capacity of 65 pounds. The T1 also has a sliding rear-wheel cradle with a ratcheting strap that adjusts to fit bikes of most lengths.
