Question:
Hello, I plan to add an Olympian Wave propane heater to my rv. I have two questions: 1. After teeing off an existing gas line should an additional gas shut - off valve be installed prior to the Wave heater, even though the Wave heater has its own shut - off valve? 2. Would copper piping be better to use rather than a propane rated gas hose?

There is not reason you cannot add an additional shut off between your propane lines and the Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57331 you were looking at, but it is not required.
Personally I would use propane hose as it does not require soldering compared to copper pipe.
The # CAM57331 requires a 3/8" female flare so a hose like the # 37207-30925 which is 3' long and would allow you to connect to the heater to the propane line on the trailer.
They are available in quite a few different lengths, so I have linked all of our 3/8" female flare hoses for you to take a look at.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
