Generator Run Time On Propane Versus Gas

I have a Wildwood LE with a 13500 AC unit and the normal devices. I would like a dual fuel generator. I would like to know how long I can expect it to run on a 20lb or 30lb propane cyl vs a full tank of gas.I would probably tap into my 30lb tanks. I need to run electronic devices so I would need an inverter. If possible remote start.

The Firman 3,300-Watt Portable RV Dual Fuel Inverter Generator - Propane or Gas - Electric Start Item # FIR54FR is a dual fuel inverter generator that has enough wattage to run a 13500 AC.

You may need higher wattage depending on the amount of other devices you're wanting to run but the only higher rated inverter generator we currently carry is the 6,000-Watt Portable RV Inverter Generators - 5,500 Running Watts - Parallel Kit # 333-0003-2-0007 which is gas only.

On average, generators use between two and three pounds of propane per hour. Therefore, a generator can run an average of 5-6 hours on 20 pounds of propane. However, the heavier the load, the lower the operating time.

A standard generator will use .75 gallons of gas an hour so with the # FIR54FR you'd get around 2-3 hours out of it's 1.8 gallon tank.
