Brake Controller And 7-Way For 2011 Lincoln Navigator With Factory 4-Flat

Hello. I have the factory 4-wire connector for trailers on my Lincoln Navigator. Id like to upgrade to the 7-wire trailer connector. I would also like to add the brake module and wiring. I understand the 7-wire connector also charges the RV batteries. I havent seen this referenced, so Id like to ensure I get the kit that provides the full 7-wire functionality. Thank you.

We can get your 2011 Lincoln Navigator with the factory 4-way set up with a 7-way and trailer brake controller; and you are correct that a 7-way has a 12 volt pin which allows you to trickle charge an RV battery. So because your '11 Navigator has the factory 4-way, the only thing you need to add for the 7-way is the following part:

- Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185

With that, the other thing you will need is the brake controller as well as the plug-in adapter, and my favorite option for a controller is from Draw-Tite:

- Brake EVN # TK63VR

- Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Ford, Lincoln, Mercury # 3035-P

I highly recommend the I-Command because it is a great value due to its unique combination of quality and cost-effectiveness. The I-Command is going to give you smooth braking, is easy to use, and has a bright display that is simple to read and understand. For a combination of quality, reliability, and price, there really isn't a better option than the I-Command.

I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well.
