Can Electric Brakes Be Added To a M1162A Military Trailer

Question:

Hi. I have a 1994 M1162A trailer I bought, and I want to replace the nonworking hydraulic brakes with electric. 16 inch wheel with 25580 and 2585 bearings. Is their a kit to do this? Thanks,

I do have an option for you but we do not offer any hubs compatible with this bearing combo. Therefore, the best option without replacing the axle would be to simply replace the braking assemblies. The best way to find the correct braking assemblies would be to measure the inside of the drum where the shoes ride. The Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit part # AKFBBRK-35 for example measures 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide or part # AKUBRK-7 which measures 12" diameter x 2" wide.

I have attached our full selection below.
