Difference Between 5 Foot MB Sturgis & JR Products Type 1 x 1/4 Male Inverted Flare Hose

Question:

37207-30795 VS 100575-60-MBS What is the difference between the 2 part numbers in the subject line and what is the significance of the inverted flare? Also, the hoses mentioned say the ID is 1/4, my existing hoses are 5/16inch ID and have no flare. I am just wanting to place the 2 30# tanks on the ground instead of having to stow them in the RV while I am stationary for 4 months. The RV is a 2010 5th Wheel from Chaparral by Coachman. Thanks,

The two hoses you mentioned are the same hose, but manufactured by different companies:

- MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare # 100575-60-MBS

- Propane Hose with Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare # 37207-30795

The significance of the male inverted flare is that is one of the fitting types on the hose. Male inverted flare fittings generally attach to dual stage regulators. If you have two propane tanks that are attached to a dual stage regulator like # 108220 you can use either of these hoses.

If you aren't certain what fittings you have, I have added a link below to a help article that details different propane hose fittings which should be really useful.
