4-Bike Rack Options That Allow Access To The Trunk

Question:

How much does the add-on weigh. I know the main unit is 60lbs. I want to marry this rack with a Kuat Swing Arm Access hitch but Kuat say weight limit is 250lbs. I assume this 250 lbs includes the rack and the 4 bikes, correct?

The inactive 2 bike add-on S64699 weighs about 45lbs and this is for the older inactive Swagman Semi 4.0 Bike Rack S64698. The 250lb weight capacity of Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches - Passenger's Side # PVP20B does include the weight of the entire bike rack, 2 bike add-on, and bikes.

If you don't already own the older inactive Swagman bike rack then I recommend looking into the SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swinging # SR2415. You could also use a 4-bike platform rack with the Kuat swing away hitch adapter, however, doing so would result in a 50% reduction from your trailer hitch receiver's overall capacity. For this reason, I think the SportRack Ridge Swing 4-bike rack is the best option for you. I attached a demonstration video.
