Compatibility of Derale # D15502 Oil Cooler Kit on 2011 Ford Flex with 3.5L Engine
Question:
WIll this work on a 2011 Ford Flex with the 3.5
asked by: Andy L
Helpful Expert Reply:
The Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler you mentioned, part # D15502 includes the sleeve nut and o-ring that is compatible with the 3.5L engine in your Flex.
As long you have sufficient room directly behind the grille and in front of the radiator to accommodate the 16-5/8 x 7-5/8 size of the cooler itself, and you will still be able to remove the oil filter once it is moved 1-3/4 inches further away from the engine block (to accommodate thickness of sandwich adapter), the Cooler Kit will work great for you.
