What Do You Recommend for a Swinging 4-Bike Rack for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?
Question:
I wanted to know what the best 4 bike rack is for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited. I would need to carry two kids bikes and two adult bikes. I also need it to swing away so that the hatch can be opened while bikes are on the mount. Let me know what my options are. Thanks.

For a 4-bike bike rack that swings to the side to allow you to open the rear hatch of your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica while bikes are mounted is the SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swinging # SR2415. The Ridge Swing 4 swings at a full 90 degrees to the passenger side of your vehicle to allow you to access the rear hatch with bikes loaded on. To make sure that you have extra security of your bikes while mounted on the rack, I recommend the etrailer Cable Lock - 10' Long - 5/16" Diameter - Steel - Keyed Alike # e98891. For additional security for the rack itself, I recommend the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for SportRack Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SR0901.
For your two children's bikes to fit onto the Ridge Swing 4, you will need two SportRack Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes # SR2415. The bike frame adapter will give your children's bikes a straight, horizontal plane to serve as a mounting point for the Ridge Swing 4. You will need additional adapters for your adult bikes if they are women's-style frames, step-through frames, or alternative style frames.
If you need a trailer hitch receiver recommendation for your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98903. The etrailer hitch comes with complete hardware for a bolt-on installation. With 400 pounds of tongue weight, the etrailer hitch will hold all four of your bikes.
