Determining Which Replacement Spindle Fits 2007 EZ Loader GL17E7 Ski Boat Trailer

Question:

I need to order bearings, a new spindle axle, a new hub, a new grease cap, grease rings, and anything else needed for one wheel on the trailer. I need help identifying the parts and have reached out to the manufacturer as well. They are very backed up I guess. Would you be able to ID the parts I need here? Trailer detail I forgot on my initial contact: MODEL: GL17E7 single axle trailer for a 18 ft ski boat. says gross axle weight is 3350 lbs I lost bearings on one tire when on a long trip and when we finally heard/noticed, the spindle was grinding and so hot that it was catching fire. We were on backroads but found a spot to park the trailer, fortunately.

I am sorry to hear about the issues in regards to your spindle!

To make sure I recommend the correct replacement spindle for your 2007 EZ Loader GL17E7 Ski Boat trailer you will need to determine what the bearing combination of the spindle is, as we do not have a breakdown of the specific components your trailer uses.

To do this you will need to remove the hub from the non-damaged side of the spindle and look for the numbers stamped in the face of both the inner and outer bearings as shown in the included diagram of the # L44649.

If the bearing numbers are not readable then you will need to use digital calipers # PTW80157 to precisely measure your spindle in the locations shown in the included diagram.

If you can provide this information I would be happy to recommend all of the correct replacement components you need.
