Im looking to tow a motorcycle with my hitch. Will a class 1 be sufficient or will I need a class 2 for that.

I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24865 as it is the easier of the two hitches we have for installation on your 2012 Ford Fusion. Both are also class I receiver and will be able to tow a small trailer with a small motorcycle.
A Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3594 with either a 2" Ball # 19258 or 1-7/8" Ball # 19256 is required to fit your class I receiver. Only class I accessories with fit your class I receiver. The Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Lock Set # 3794DAT will allow you to lock both the ball mount to your receiver and trailer coupler to your ball mount. This will ensure that your trailer is secure when you are towing and the storage lock will secure it when it is stored.
The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118422 will plug into the 4-way flat connector on most small trailers to activate the trailer lights.
