Recommended Post-Style Kayak Carrier For Adarac Ladder Rack Top Channels

I have the Adarac Aluminum Series on my 2021 Silverado short bed. I am looking for a post style kayak rack that will work with the rack and its 1.5 inch x 1.5 inch cross bars. Currently I carry two kayaks on cheap J-Style racks that mount around the bar but I think I would prefer something with the ability to mount via T-Slots since the J-style rack mounts I have now rotate on the bars. The most promising rack I found is the Post-Style Kayak Carrier for Malone Trailers - 4 Kayaks MPG568 but it doesnt appear that the included mounting hardware would work on my cross bars. Malone does sell kits to convert some of their racks to T-slot mounts but I cannot figure out if that will work with the post style mount. I also dont know if the T-slot kits would work with my cross bars as it seems they are intended for aero bars.

We can get you set up to carry four kayaks with a post-style kayak carrier and your Adarac ladder rack utilizing the top channels. You were definitely on the right track, and the Adarac's bars have standard channel dimensions so the Malone T-slot mounting kit will work, but it isn't compatible with the carrier you mentioned.

To carry four kayaks, you will actually need two of a different Malone post-style carrier, as there isn't a 4-kayak carrier that will work. So, exactly what you need will be two of each:

- Malone Stax Pro2 Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Post Style - Folding - 2 Kayaks # MPG115MD

- Aero Style Crossbar T-Slot Fit Kit for Malone Kayak and Surfboard Carriers # MPG915

Even though the title of the product says "Aero Style" the shape of the crossbar actually doesn't have anything to do with it; its just that aero bars often have the channel while other styles of crossbars do not.
