Is the Rightline Gear Sport Jr. Rooftop Cargo Bag A Good Fit For 2010 Toyota Prius with Sunroof

I have a 2010 Prius with solar panel and sun roof top. Ive looked over some of the FAQs and and have deduced that perhaps the Rightline Gear Sport Jr. Rooftop Cargo Bag will be compatible with my car? I saw one of the experts recommend getting the protective pad, # RL100650, to protect the roof. Totally agree with that. They also suggested the Replacement Car Clips # RL100600. These attach to the straps of the bag and then attach to the roof of the vehicle, this doesnt require you to run straps inside your vehicle If this is in fact a good bag for my car, my other question is why do I need an extra set of clips if it already comes with them? And is there a disadvantage to run the straps inside my vehicle? Thank you for any help on this matter.

I would not recommend a cargo bag that rests directly on the roof of a vehicle that has a sunroof like your 2010 Toyota Prius. Especially since you have a solar panel up there as well. You can still use the Rightline Gear Sport Jr. part # RL100S50 but you'll also need to install a roof rack and basket so that it wouldn't rest on your vehicle roof.

So first for a roof rack the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA118B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK195 would be a great place to start. It's a higher quality roof rack at a lower price than it's rivals.
