Mostly Hidden Trailer Hitch Solution for 2017 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hi, I have a 2017 highlander hybrid limited with what appears to be temporary spare, and looked at options by Curt, Drawtite and etrailer. I am looking for something the cross tube hidden, and flush with the bumper. The Curt 13200 seems to be the closest I can find, but I am concerned of reports of the holes in the hitch not matching up with the threaded holes in the body of the highlander. The reduced towing and tongue weight as not as much a concern as my intended use is for a bike rack. Are there other hitches I should consider, any experience with mounting the 13200 due to the holes? Thank you,

The most hidden trailer hitch for your 2017 Toyota Highlander is the EcoHitch part # 306-X7250 which only has the hitch opening hanging below the rear bumper. The next best option would be the Curt part # C13394 which also has the hitch opening below the rear bumper but also the safety chain loops are a bit more visible.
The only reason either of these hitches would be difficult to bolt up to your Highlander would be if they were to bend during shipping which doesn't happen all the time but does tend to happen here and there. You can simply bend the hitch back as needed though.
