Higher Rated Weight Distribution for 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Towing Forest River Rockwood Signature
Question:
Currently use a E2 10,000 lb tow rate and 1000 lb tongue weight. New trailer is a 30’ Forrest river Rockwood signature with a dry weight of 7500 lbs and with cargo about 9500lbs. My trailer tongue weight is 1089 just for trailer. I tow with a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 w/6.2 v8, tow trailer up to 12,000 lbs and the truck is rated for 1200 lb tongue weight. My question is, should I buy a higher rated weight distribution hitch or add an air shock system to my current weight distribution equipment.

Going with a higher rated weight distribution system will give you the best ride quality, handling, and steering when towing since your current system isn't rated for the weight you will be towing.
The Blue Ox TrackPro part # BLU27FR that you mentioned would be a really great option with a perfect tongue weight range of 1,000 to 1,300 lbs of tongue weight.
Air bags would reduce the sag but wouldn't improve the handling or braking so it wouldn't be as ideal of a solution.
