Recommended Replacement Jack For Lippert Smart Jack With Damaged Buttons Causing Water To Get In

Question:

I have a 2 year old lance travel trailer with a smart jack. The decal they covers the operating buttons has disintegrated leaving the buttons exposed and allowing one of the button covers to come off and go missing. So I need a button cover and the decal

I have a complete replacement jack option for you, but the buttons on your Lippert Smart Jack # LC643589 are not replaceable so the only option is a complete replacement. If your jack is still within the 1-year warranty period then I recommend reaching out to whoever you purchased from to get it replaced.

If you are outside of your warranty period then you should take a look at the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 24" Lift - 3,500 lbs - White, Item # JET-3555. This would be a great replacement for your Smart Jack.

I included a video of the # JET-3555 for you to take a look at.

It appears the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 24" Lift - 3,500 lbs - White, Item # JET-3555 plate that mounts to the trailer is round where the Lippert spart jack the plate is triangular. Will I need to drill different holes for the Stromberg? Thanks John

@JohnH Hey John. Both use the same mounting pattern, just a different shape of the flange. Both will fit in the same hole on the tongue.

@SamuelC Thanks for you reply. What is your opinion of the Stromberg jacks vs. the Lippert jacks. My Lippert smart jack is only 3-years old which doesn't seem to be all that long to me.

@JohnH I prefer the Stomberg-Carlson. I feel there's more readily available replacement parts, and I think they tend to be just as strong if not stronger.
