Will Curt Class I Drawbar # C45024 Fit on Class I Trailer Hitch on 2003 Honda CR-V

I have a Honda 2003 CRV. Would this ball mount be a good fit? The CRV has a class 1 hitch installed already.

We strongly recommend you use the ball mount the hitch manufacturer recommends because the weight capacity of the CLASS 1 hitch is based on using the recommended ball mount. If you can provide the manufacturer model number of the hitch, I can find the correct ball mount to use.

The Curt Class I Ball Mount # C45024 you referenced is a good fit for your 2003 Honda CR-V. It will fit your 1-1/4-inch hitch receiver and has a weight capacity of 2000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs.

You will want to check your vehicle owners guide to see the weight capacity for your vehicle and hitch. If they are different, go with the lesser capacity to be on the safe side. This product has a 5-inch rise and can only be used in the rise position.

You will need a pin and clip for this ball mount as well as a hitch ball. I recommend the # F-4 pin and clip and for hitch balls, you can go with the 1-7/8-inch ball # A-80 or the 2-inch ball # A-82.

If you need a wiring harness for a trailer, you might be interested in the Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118336. It provides quick and easy installation with no cutting or splicing of wires. I have provided a link to the installation instructions for this product. I have also provided a link to the typical installation of this wiring harness.

Finally, I have included a link to our FAQ page on choosing the proper ball mount.
