Where Should Fifth Wheel Hitch be Positioned in Bed of Truck

This hitch has a 10inch slide how far in front of my rear axel should it be in the tow position? I have a 92 Super Duty F250 XLT, with an 8ft bed. Thanks in advance

With fifth wheel hitches you want the center of the hitch jaws to be right above the rear axle or an inch or so ahead of it. If the hitch is a slider hitch you want this to be set with the hitch in the slid forward position.
