Question:
Hi! I received my base plate recently and tried to install it last night. Have you ever experienced the bar not fitting or being wide enough? Basically the bar is about 1/8inch to short from being wide enough to fit the outside the frame horns. It is almost like it was a saw blade off before they welded it together. The only other thing I can think of is taking the entire bumper off and pushing the bar on the Frame from the front I might be able to use a mallet or hammer to get it into place but if the bars are not always exact I am wondering we could get a different one that may be wider? I am reaching out on behalf of my Dad who ordered the part. Thank you

I spoke with Roadmaster and their tech stated you can take the bumper off and use a dead blow hammer to get the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM24VR in place on your frame horns.
