Which Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizer Setup for Tandem Axle Trailer that Weighs 4,500
Question:
I have a 20foot cargo trailer that I am converting into a travel trailer. It has 2 3500lb axles. Will this component work or is it too stiff? Would I even need one if my anticipated trailer weight is about 4500 pounds?

Based on the trailer weight you mentioned the best Equa-Flex option would be the part # LC279687 which is rated for 3k to 6k trailers. The higher rated # LC279688 would fit but the cushioning would be so stiff that it wouldn't be very effective.
