Weigh Safe Adjustable Ball Mount With Scale For a 2" Receiver With a Non Locking Hitch Pin

Question:

I have 2004 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 2,ID, receiver that is 16.25inch to top of receiver and will be towing a trailer with coupler height of 17.5, leaving a rise of -1.25. Will the alum., adjustable weight safe WS4-2 work and give me options for keeping the trailer level ? Also what is a good option for the hitch pin. I never leave the ball mount on the trailer when not towing, so no need for locking mechanism. The receiver on the hitch is 2.5,OD, with a 5/8inch hole. A good chrome pin with a secure retainer clip would be great. Thanks

The Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/ Built-In Scale # WS4-2 is a great option to keep your trailer level when towing with your 2004 Toyota Land Cruiser. When the shank is mounted in the rise position you can position the ball in a 1", 2", 3", 4", or 5" rise, or can be flipped for a drop of 0", 1", 2", 3", or 4". Depending on the amount of sag you have when connected to your trailer you may be more level with a 2" rise over a 1" rise.

I recommend the Master Lock Pivot Lock Hitch Pin # ML1465DAT as it is stainless steel so you will not have to worry about rust building up on the pin or the paint peeling over time. And unlike others that use a cotter pin that usually grows legs and walks away this pin has a pivot end that will flip down when needed. It is 5/8" in diameter and has a usable length of 3".
