Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter to Replace Lippert 1621 Pin Box

Question:

I have a factory goose ball set up. I have a maxair? root base king pin that I locked so it cant flex. I bought a gooseneck adapter. I dont have any bed clearance, cant even get to the point Im concerned about the corner of the cab. see photo bought lots of stuff from you awesome folks and need help. Like the Reese Goose box or Anderson. What are my options?

Looks like you have a Rotoflex pin box and installed a Convert-A-Ball adapter part # CAB-C5G on it which isn't supposed to happen. The king pin plate flexes and causes the issue you have.

If you can get me the pin box part numbers you see on it I can see what adapter solutions you have.

The Reese Goose Box part # RP85FR would fit in place of the Roto Flex setup you have now. It would be much safer too.

Gen-Y has their cushioned adapter that is similar too with the part # GY38FR.
